What is a digital nomad?

A digital nomad is someone who uses the internet and digital technology to work remotely while traveling the world. They earn income through remote work, freelancing, or online businesses, pursuing a lifestyle of freedom and mobility.

HINOMAD is Korea's largest digital nomad community, growing with over 774 members since 2023. We support aspiring digital nomads through workation programs, networking events, online meetups, AI education, and more.

A workation combines "work" and "vacation" — it's a new way of working where you do remote work from a vacation or travel destination. HINOMAD runs workation programs in various locations, providing workspace, local experiences, and networking opportunities.

What do I need to become a digital nomad?

To become a digital nomad, you need a remotely-performable skill (developer, designer, writer, marketer, etc.), stable internet access, and basic digital tool proficiency. HINOMAD community offers AI education, business networking, and mentoring to help with the transition.

What is the difference between remote work and being a digital nomad?

Remote work means working from anywhere regardless of location. Being a digital nomad means combining remote work with travel and living in various places. In other words, digital nomads are remote workers who add mobility and travel to their lifestyle.

What are the benefits of joining HINOMAD?
